What data I collect

AquaKit uses Umami and Vercel Web Analytics to collect anonymous usage data. Both are cookieless and store nothing on your device. They record anonymous page views (the page visited, referring site, country, device type, and browser) and which affiliate links are clicked (the tool, the product, and your country). I don’t collect names, email addresses, or any information that directly identifies you.

Why I collect it

Analytics data helps me understand which tools are most useful, where visitors encounter problems, and how to improve the site. I use this information solely to make AquaKit better — I don’t use it for advertising.

Cookies

AquaKit doesn’t use cookies for analytics or advertising. Because nothing is stored on your device for analytics, there is no consent banner. If you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Calculator data (localStorage)

AquaKit saves your calculator input values locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. It is stored under keys prefixed with aquakit: and can be cleared at any time using the “Clear” link shown on any calculator page after values are restored, or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Data sharing

I don’t sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. The anonymous analytics data above is processed by Umami and Vercel solely to provide the analytics service.

Data retention

Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated, so it can’t be linked back to you. It is kept for as long as it’s useful for improving the site.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:

• Access the data I hold about you
• Request erasure of your data

As analytics data is anonymous, I generally can’t identify any data as yours. Content blockers that block analytics scripts will also prevent page views from being recorded.
